What is an Ingrown Toenail and how can I fix it?

When a nail begins to curve and dig into the skin it is identified as an ingrown toenail. This curved growth typically begins on the side of the nails and you begin to get symptoms such as redness, inflammation, swelling, and pain.

Not only are ingrown nails irritating and painful, but they can also be harmful health wise. When an ingrown nail occurs, it often causes a break in the skin where bacteria can then enter through and cause an infection. This infection will typically cause a drainage and a bad odor to occur.
